Who is MIFFA?
Minerva International Freight Forwarders Association, a company founded in 2006 and registered in Belgium with number BE 0878.924.522, is a network for international freight forwarders and related services in the logistics industry.

GDPR
General Data Protection Regulation – in short GDPR - is a European law on privacy, effective since May 25th 2018. MIFFA has always taken care of your privacy and is committed to continue doing so in the future. With this legislation, we want to give you full transparency about how your personal data is collected and used.

Collection and use of data
Personal information you have provided when applying for MIFFA-membership and / or registering to our events and / or during phone-calls, mails, meetings and / or any other way of communication will continue to be taken care of to the best of our abilities and will not be used for commercial purposes.
While applying for MIFFA-membership you allow us to use your data to provide member services such as informing you of newsflashes, member news, your membership invoices, as well as publishing membership directory on miffa-group.com or in printed form for MIFFA-members so as to enable you and connect you with the group. Our Directories are based on the information you provided. They are for the sole use of MIFFA-members and may not be distributed nor copied to third parties. Exactness of information in the Directory is in your own interest. Your cooperation for same is therefore highly appreciated.

Access to personal information
Any individual listed has the right to be informed, access, rectification, erasure, portability, or object to data. If you want to know, change or delete information we have on file for you, you can send us an e-mail at any time. We will honour your requests and rights at every given opportunity. Feel free to contact us with any queries you might have.

To contact you, we will use the personal details you provided us. Should you wish us to change the way we reach you, please let us know by mail, and we will follow your preferences.

Data retention period
In case one of our emails gets your interest to join MIFFA, we will retain your personal data and intermittently follow-up until you opt-out.
Except in the event you still owe us money (in which case we will continue until payment is received), we will stop contacting you and erase your data if you notify us you are no longer interested.
